Psittacosaurus is also translated as parrot lizard, which means "parrot lizard" in Greek. It is a genus of parrot billed dragon family under the order of Horned Dragon. It lived in Early Cretaceous Asia, about 123.2 million years ago to 110 million years ago. Parrot billed dinosaurs, protoceratops, Triceratops and other dinosaurs all have a beak with hooks similar to parrots. Scientists infer from its body shape and survival age that parrot billed dinosaurs may be the ancestors of most ceratops. Psittacosaurus is a small herbivorous dinosaur named for its parrot like beak. Adult parrot billed dragon can be up to 2 meters long, and the general body length is about 1 meter. All species of parrot billed dinosaurs are gazelle like bipedal, herbivorous dinosaurs, characterized by a high and strong beak with an upper jaw. In at least one species, the tail and lower back have mane like structures, which may be used as a display.
